Since 2020, Susana has been an Invited Expert at W3C, where she helps shape accessibility frameworks and guidelines within the Accessible Platform Architectures (APA) Working Group and the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (AGWG). She has contributed to WCAG 2.2, WCAG 3.0, the Maturity Model, and Conformance.

Susana holds high-level certifications, including Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA), which encompasses CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) and WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist). Additionally, she is a Certified APX Practitioner (CAPXP) in Player-Centric Accessible Video Game Design, allowing her to apply accessibility principles to complex digital environments, including video games and interactive experiences.

Additionally, Susana is a faculty member in the Master’s in Digital Accessibility program at the University of Barcelona and frequently speaks at universities and international conferences, sharing her expertise in inclusive design, accessible development, regulations, and organizational transformation

Committed to advancing digital accessibility in Latin America, Susana co-founded Fundación DALAT, an initiative aimed at creating open technical accessibility resources in Spanish. She also collaborates with the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP), where she led the Spanish translation of the WAS exam and advised on strategic accessibility projects, such as Smart Cities.
