Governor Abbott Appoints Seven To The Governor’s Committee On People With Disabilities. He appointed Shelbi Davenport and Al Henderson, and reappointed Kori Allen, Billy Blanchard, Evelyn Cano, Juan Lopez, and Ben Willis to the Governor Committee on People with Disabilities (GCPD).

The appointments/reappointments have terms expiring on February 1, 2028, except Al Henderson’s term, which expires on February 1, 2027.

The GCPD advises on disability policies and programs, supports local committees, gives awards to raise awareness, and promotes compliance with disability laws.

The appointees bring backgrounds in accessibility, workforce services, disability advocacy, legal aid, education, and community leadership across Texas.
