SMART Technologies announced accessibility enhancements to its Lumio platform. It now conforms to WCAG 2.2 standards.

The update enables students using assistive technologies to sign in, join classes, and participate in activities like Response and Shout it Out, with full keyboard navigation and screen-reader support for images and annotations.

Lumio is compatible with major school screen readers, including JAWS, NVDA, ChromeVox, VoiceOver, and Narrator.

The improvements build on Lumio’s existing accessibility features, such as Universal Design for Learning principles and Immersive Reader integration, and are available now to all users.
