ADA 30 Days to Comply Act Introduced by Congressment Mike Lawler & Lou Correa

Congressmen Mike Lawler and Lou Correa introduced the bipartisan ADA 30 Days to Comply Act to allow businesses 30 days to fix ADA violations before litigation begins.

The bill aims to reduce ‘drive-by’ or bad-faith lawsuits and promote quicker compliance and improved accessibility for disabled individuals.

Supporters, including business associations and industry leaders, argue the bill protects small businesses while ensuring ADA compliance.

The legislation is seen as a balanced approach that fosters collaboration over litigation and supports both accessibility and small business viability.

Congressman Lawler, a highly bipartisan and effective legislator, co-sponsored the bill to assist businesses in New York’s 17th District and beyond.
