OpenAI Signed a Government Charter on Digital Inclusion

OpenAI has signed Ireland’s Charter for Digital Inclusion, committing to improving digital access and inclusion across the country.

The charter encourages organizations to promote digital skills and accessibility, especially for those struggling with new technologies.

As part of the charter, OpenAI will upskill staff, embed inclusion in products and policies, and support government digital transformation efforts.

OpenAI’s European headquarters in Dublin, opened in 2023, currently employs around 50 people.

The Department of Enterprise sees the charter as part of a broader effort to reduce the digital divide and ensure wider participation in the digital economy.
