The Illinois Supreme Court and AOIC hired Anna Hurst as the new Title II ADA Compliance Attorney to improve accessibility and disability-law compliance across the Illinois Judicial Branch.
Hurst will serve as legal counsel on ADA, Rehabilitation Act, and Illinois Human Rights Act matters, and will help create an accessibility compliance program, provide training, technical assistance, and policy guidance.
The new role is the first dedicated attorney position focused exclusively on disability access across the judicial branch and is intended to expand access to justice for court users with disabilities.
Before joining AOIC, Hurst was a Director at Walmart, where she led accessibility, compliance, systems, policy, and resource development efforts, and she also serves as Trial Defense Counsel in the Army National Guard.
Hurst holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law.
