Apple has revealed upcoming tvOS 27 accessibility features in tvOS 27 for Apple TV 4K, even though the OS has not been officially announced yet.
One feature will let users change text size across the Home Screen, menus, and supported apps via Apple’s Dynamic Type support.
Another major addition is automatic live transcription/subtitles for videos that don’t already have them, including older files and home videos, with processing done locally on-device.
The new subtitle feature will launch in English first, with more languages to follow later.
Made for iPhone hearing aids will gain more seamless device switching, making it easier to route Apple TV 4K audio directly to hearing aids.
